Shadow Keeper is Book 3 in the Shadow Riders Series by Christine Feehan:
One family brings its own brand of justice to the streets of Chicago’s shadowy underworld as #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan returns to a series hot enough to burn. . .
The paparazzi can’t get enough of infamous bad boy Giovanni Ferraro. But unknown to them–and the women he beds–he’s just playing a role. Keeping the spotlight on himself keeps it off the family business. And if this lethal shadow rider can’t hunt in the dark, he’ll find his pleasure elsewhere. . .
Sasha Provis grew up on a Wyoming ranch and thought she knew how to protect herself from predators. But in the nightclub where she works, she’s fair game–until one of the owners steps in to protect her. Giovanni is gorgeous. He’s dangerous. And his every touch takes her breath away.
The devil at her heels may have finally met its match. . .
Giovanni Ferraro is tired of playing the “Playboy”, after his injury, he cannot ride the shadows and has been relegated to keeping the eyes of the paparazzi on him while his brothers and sister continue to “bring justice” to those deemed guilty. But, riding the shadows and bringing justice is what he was born and trained to do and now he’s been sidelined and he’s frustrated. That is, until he sees Sasha Provis.
Sasha grew up on a ranch and worked right alongside the men, she’s used to working around men and she can handle herself. She did fine until the accident that took her parents and permanently injured her brother. But, now, forced to move to Chicago for treatment for her brother, she’s on her own with a mountain of responsibilities and debt. She needs her job working as a waitress in an exclusive nightclub where the wages were great and the tips even better. She needs this job but being accosted by entitled celebrities and businessmen, it’s just too much. Her gorgeous boss, Giovanni, steps in to protect her, but she has a feeling she just jumped from the frying pan into a blazing fire. Add in a mysterious stalker and the great characters from the “neighborhood” and you get a perfect storm of romance, suspense and laughter…
I loved Giovanni and Sasha’s story… they fit, and like Stefan and Francesca and Ricco and Mariko, you can feel the blazing heat between them. This is a great new series and I look forward to the next one…
