Archangel’s Prophecy by Nalini Singh, is book #11 in the Guild Hunters series and all I can say is, Wow! This just might be the best book in the series… She’s left us with so many questions as we chew our nails to the quick, hoping and praying for Ellie. But the beauty of Raphael and Elena’s relationship, is they “fight” the “inevitable”, and so far, they’ve won, even if they’re a little bruised.
But this time, as we wait with baited breath on just who/what is in that chrysalis and what will Raphael and Elena become, now that they are more a part of each other than ever before… Now I have to wait another year to learn just what’s going on behind those silver eyes. And if you know Ellie, and by now you should, she’s not letting anything stop her from being with Raphael.
The couple who takes on Fate, Destiny… whatever you want to call it, have my vote always, but there is something truly special (and I can’t wait to find out what it is… aeclari, anyone?), about these two.
This is not a stand-alone novel but Nalini intricately weaves the important parts of everyone’s back-story, which shows just how brilliant Ms. Singh is, and what makes for incredible story telling, that you could read it on its own, but why punish yourself… Start from the beginning and I envy the wild ride you’re about to embark on! The Guild Hunter series is just simply special.
And we get to get a glimpse of almost everyone. More focused on Raphael and Elena (obvs), we get to see more of Elena’s human family and something really special (if but for seconds) with Ellie and her father, and of course, the Seven as well as the other Archangels. And then something really special, if not a little creepy… (what do you expect? we’re talking about vampires, angels and archangels and ancients… things get bloody…). As the world braces itself for another upheaval brought on by the Cascade, Raphael and Elena fight as always to hold on to each other and the ones they love.
If you haven’t started this series yet, treat yourself and BINGE on this series, its worth it. Now, time for a “re-read”, back to page 1…
